Am See

The sites directly on the lake are marked by loose, dark sandy ground with subsoil rich in clay and loam. The warm, dark sandy soil and direct proximity to the lake make them very well suited for cultivation of varietals that ripen late. Moreover the direct proximity to the lake creates ideal conditions for the formation of noble rot.

Lüsswiese - Here the grapes ripen for our classic Welschriesling and Blaufränkisch, both the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon components of our Cuvée Lüss as well as the Muscat Ottonel for our dessert wines.
