Age of vines: 10-44 years

Terroir:The grapes for this wine originate from various sites in the Heideboden. Heideboden is the designation for the level sites reaching to the lake, characterised by warm, porous gravel black-earth soils, thereby lending the wine a special body.

Cultivation: yield reduction to 8 grapes/ vine, selectively harvested by hand on 23rd September

Maturation: selection of grapes, gentle processing, controlled maceration, deacidification, aged 12 months in frequently refilled barrique, bottled on 18th January 2016

Wine: dark ruby red with an bright edge; intensive plum, bluebery and blackberry nose; the fruitiness extends through the palate and presents a stringent tannin texture, very fruity finish (18.12.2015)
